How it works
From your first call to collecting the car, here’s what happens when you arrange car finance through us.
Simple from start to finish
Four simple steps
Step 1: Call or request a callback
Tell us about the car you want and the monthly budget you have in mind.
Step 2: Talk it through
We explain PCP, HP and the other options in plain English, so you know what suits you.
Step 3: We approach our lenders
We match your circumstances to lenders on our panel. Finance is subject to status.
Step 4: You decide
If you’re offered finance, you choose whether to go ahead. The agreement is with the lender.
What a credit broker does
A credit broker introduces you to lenders. We don’t lend money ourselves. Instead, we talk to you about what you need and what you can afford, then introduce you to a lender on our panel that may be able to help.
We work with a limited number of lenders, not the whole market. We do not give advice or recommendations about finance. We give you information about the products available so you can choose how to proceed.
We’re paid commission by the lender, not by you. Read our commission disclosure to see how it works.
What we’ll ask you
- The car you want, or the kind of car you’re looking for
- Your monthly budget and any deposit or part exchange
- Your employment and income
- Your address history
If you decide to apply, the lender will tell you exactly which documents it needs. This is usually proof of identity, address and income.
Credit checks
Lenders check your credit file before they offer finance. We’ll tell you what checks will happen, and when, before anything is submitted, so there are no surprises.
Your rights
- Time to change your mind. For most regulated finance agreements you have 14 days after signing to withdraw from the credit agreement.
- Paying off early. You can settle a regulated agreement early. You’ll usually pay less interest.
- Faulty cars. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if a car is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, you may be able to reject it within 30 days for a refund.

What information will I need?
On the call we'll ask about the car, your budget, your employment and your address history. If you go ahead, the lender will tell you exactly what documents they need, which is usually proof of identity, address and income.
What's the difference between PCP and HP?
With hire purchase (HP) you pay off the full cost of the car in fixed monthly payments and own it at the end. With a personal contract purchase (PCP) part of the cost is deferred to an optional final payment, so monthly payments are usually lower. At the end of a PCP you can pay the final payment and keep the car, hand it back (subject to mileage and condition), or part exchange it.
What happens when I call or request a callback?
One of our team will ask about the car you want, your budget and your circumstances. We'll explain the options that might suit you and what happens next before you decide whether to go ahead. Nothing is agreed on the call.
